3 Business Ideas to start you journey

THE JEM DIGEST

So, this is more of a thought exercise for me, but I think there can be value in it for someone on here. Starting a business can feel overwhelming. You are going out into the world and trying to make money with the only security of making that money being yourself.

I’m not going to pretend like I don’t understand that. Most businesses fail, and that’s just a fact. That being said, if you never start, you never know. I’ve put together a few businesses here that I think ANYONE can start.

If you like them, run with them, if not, whatever. Here they are:

1. Web Design Agency Using Visual Website Builders

Why It's a Great Idea

The demand for visually appealing and functional websites is higher than ever. Small businesses, freelancers, and even individuals need professional websites but often lack the technical skills to create one. This is where you can step in with a web design agency specializing in user-friendly platforms like SquareSpace, Wix, and Hostinger.

Getting Started

  • Learn the Platforms: Invest time in mastering SquareSpace, Wix, and Hostinger. These platforms are user-friendly, and numerous online tutorials and courses can help you become proficient quickly.

  • Create a Portfolio: Start by designing websites for friends, family, or local businesses. Use these projects to build a portfolio showcasing your skills.

  • Market Your Services: Leverage social media, local networking events, and online forums to promote your services. Highlight your ability to create attractive, responsive, and SEO-friendly websites.

  • Offer Packages: Develop different service packages to cater to various needs and budgets. For example, you could offer basic, standard, and premium packages with varying levels of customization and features.

Benefits

  • Low Start-Up Costs: With free trials, affordable, and sometimes free subscription plans on these platforms, you can start your agency with minimal investment.

  • Scalability: As you gain more clients, you can expand your team and offer additional services like SEO, content creation, and digital marketing.

  • Flexibility: You can run this business from anywhere, making it ideal for those seeking a flexible work-life balance.

2. Affiliate Marketing Website for Comic Book Reviews

Why It's a Great Idea

If you have a passion for comic books and a knack for writing, creating an affiliate marketing website focused on comic book reviews can be a profitable venture. Affiliate marketing allows you to earn commissions by promoting products and driving sales through your content.

Getting Started

  • Choose Your Niche: Narrow down your focus within the comic book world. You could specialize in superhero comics, graphic novels, manga, or indie comics.

  • Create Quality Content: Write engaging and informative reviews that provide value to your readers. Include affiliate links to purchase the comics through platforms like Amazon, eBay, or specialized comic book retailers.

  • Build an Audience: Use social media, forums, and comic book conventions to promote your website. Engage with your audience by responding to comments and participating in discussions.

  • Monetize Your Site: Besides affiliate links, consider other monetization methods such as Google AdSense, sponsored posts, and merchandise sales.

This idea can also work across multiple niches. Think of what you're passionate about and create a review website around that thing.

Benefits

  • Low Start-Up Costs: You can start with just a domain name and web hosting. Many affiliate programs are free to join.

  • Passive Income: Once your content is published, it can continue to generate income as long as it remains relevant and attracts traffic.

  • Creative Freedom: You have the liberty to explore different formats like written reviews, video reviews, podcasts, and even interviews with comic book creators.

3. Productized Facebook Ads Agency

Why It's a Great Idea

Businesses of all sizes are looking to leverage Facebook ads to reach their target audience. However, many lack the expertise to run effective ad campaigns. A productized Facebook ads agency offers standardized ad packages, making it easier for clients to understand what they’re getting and for you to streamline your processes.

Getting Started

  • Develop Expertise: Gain a thorough understanding of Facebook advertising through online courses, certifications, and hands-on experience.

  • Create Standardized Packages: Define clear, fixed-scope services with set prices. For example, you could offer packages for campaign setup, monthly management, and analytics reporting.

  • Build a Website: Showcase your services, client testimonials, and case studies on a professional website. Ensure it’s optimized for SEO and user experience.

  • Automate Processes: Use tools and software to automate client onboarding, campaign management, and reporting. This will save you time and ensure consistency.

Benefits

  • Predictable Income: With standardized packages, you can forecast your revenue more accurately.

  • Efficiency: Productizing your services allows you to refine and perfect your processes, making your business more efficient.

  • Scalability: As your client base grows, you can hire additional team members or invest in more advanced tools to manage the increased workload.

These are just a few ideas I have. I think I’ll do this exercise more regularly on the newsletter. There are plenty of viable business ideas out there. The key is to get started, make a plan, and be consistent in your execution.

The best time to start, is right now.
